This is the simplest DIY recipe I have!
Simply peel, core and chop 3 large apples and put them in a saucepan. Add a few cups of water, cover and bring to a light boil. Turn temperature down to a hot simmer and leave covered. Stir often. Once apples chunks are getting quite soft, drain most of the water , leaving a small amount, and turn temperature down to a simmer. Remove the lid and begin to mash apples together. |
You can add some brown sugar and cinnamon, but when the apples are perfectly ripe, I prefer to keep it natural!
